The 8th edition of the Most beautiful igbo girl Cultural pageant , the Adandiigbo , held on the 18th November 2012 at the Emmaus House complex , Arthur Eze Avenue in Awka Anambra state . Contestants representing Igbo speaking states and communities locked horns to confirm whose cooking ,fluency in speaking Igbo ,and conduct was more outstanding during  the 10 days long pageant . Top amongst the activities in camp were Aerobics , lectures in Igbo language and culture morals , home management and cultural reawkening .The contestants had resource people from across igbo land teaching them different aspects of how to be a self sufficient Igbo citizen and of course etiquettes of a beauty queen . After ten days of battle and co -inhabitance to determine the character and traits of the contestants, the finalists climbed the stage and showed the world what they were made of .Hrm Ogwueleka Chidalu a Pharmacy student of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University beat all the other contestants to clinch the coveted Adandiigbo crown . Born to Mr Joseph and Mrs Virginia Ogwueleka , the new queen hails from Umuanuka,Otolo Nnewi in Anambra State . As the new Adandiigbo , HRM Chidalu Ogwueleka would be expected to be a role model for other Igbo girls as well as build bridges across ethnic nationalities , the Igbos are a peaceful race and at all times seek new ways of engaging in commerce . Speaking at the event ,Mazi Onyechere MacRobinsonAnele , the world President of the Adandiigbo cultural Pageants Described the eight Edition as an attempt to re enact the spirit of Brotherhood amongst Igbos .The same spirit of Onyeaghala nwanne ya that the igbos were known for before the distraction of the civil war , he went on to urge Igbo People to always seek dialogue in every situation they find themselves and be examplary . Top on the list of Dignitaries that attended the event were Akajiofor ndiigbo Ezeoba Ramas Asuzu of Nri Kingdom ,akpunwa of Igboland Chief Debe Odimegwu Ojukwu eldest son of the Biafran warlord ,Lady Agbata the commissiner of women Affairs ,Zelly Mighty ,Ohamadike of Awka, Onome Tanno of Delta Broadcasting Service, Mr Achike Oboli of League of Anambra Proffessionals,Queen of culture Nigeria and several Captains of Industry,journalists and Igbo Leaders too numerous to Mention. The event was anchored by Lady Debbie from Port Harcourt and Chika Of Silverbird Awka .
