The Search for the Most Beautiful Igbo girl -The Adandiigbo 2013 is on . Batch A  Auditions would hold on the 10th August 2013 at the Mets lounge New Owerri . Batch B auditions would hold on the 7th September 2013 While the Batch c Auditions would hold on  October 12 2013 .The last auditions would hold on 2nd November 2013 . Simultaneously at Mets lounge new owerri and 22 ede street Ogbunabali Port Harcourt .

A Renowned Nollywood celebrity and aspirant at the last Actors Guild of Nigeria ,AGN polls Mr. Steve Ebo Popularly known as Ajebo was yesterday appointed the Artistic Director for this years Akaraka Lectures and Awards at the 9th Most Beautiful Igbo Girl Cultural Pageant Scheduled to hold in November,2013.

The Adandiigbo Cultural pageant is a Non Swimsuit cultural Pageant that changed the face of pageantry in Nigeria in  2005  when Hrm Ndidiamaka Nwakwu, now Mrs Ndidiamaka Mbonu, beat other contestants to emerge the Most Beautiful Igbo Girl also known as the Adandiigbo. 

The Current Title Holder, the  Adandiigbo ,Hrm Ogwueleka Chidalu, a Pharmacy Student at the Agulu Campus of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University would be expected to handover to a new queen come November ,2013 . The registration for this years Pageant is on WWW.Adandiigbo.com

 This prestigious cultural pageant sparked off a chain of success stories and carved a niche in a new, previously unexplored Ethnic and cultural pageantry trend .The Pageant for the first time in the country rotated its coverage amongst the South South and South East States in its search for the Most beautiful, brainy and culturally aware  girl child within the Igbo nation . The Pageant only took leave to visit Lagos and hold its 3rd edition at the prestigious Balmorals Event Place in Ikeja in 2007.

The Pageant Organizers have over the last eight years ensured quality and accountability as they have repeatedly employed the best Hands in the industry to maintain the model of a New and  popular  trend in Pageantry .Culture and Language has in recent years been encouraged amongst the Igbo youths as the dangerous trend of youths not understanding their language and culture has been a source of concern to United Nations

The Akaraka Lectures and awards has always been a unique aspect of the Adandiigbo Pageant and all recipients over the years have moved on  to become Nationally acclaimed individuals .This year the focus has expanded to include the larger society and the Girl child from Igbo land  would be expected to vote their  conscience on whom they have known to excel in the categories open for the Event.

 Speaking to Mr Steve Ebo at the 301 Hotel ,Port Harcourt venue of the Meeting . The one time AGN Vice President  stated that he was set to ensure a  transparent exercise , .He called on great and enterprising Nigerians  to vote their conscience as the voting lines would soon be made public . He also thanked the Sponsors of the Event for the past eight years and called on New Sponsors to support them and ensure a Splendid event that would see a renewed desire to excel .In his words , Lets expect the best and biggest Akaraka Lectures and Awards ever .
